http://www.thepigpensa.com/

We can start off at The Pig Pen, 106 Pershing Ave. It's a kid and family friendly place to hang out. We can go from there. I coach the 5:30pm, so let's plan on meeting about 7p. It's St. Patti's day tomorrow so it might be nuts! Let's be safe and responsible.

You did it!!!!

Time to celebrate! You all made it through and no one died. In fact, I'm super impressed by the results I've seen. A lot of you have completely transformed your life and bodies. As you can see, there is no magic pill or solution. It takes pure dedication and a whole new way of living. I hope you will find this new lifestyle a way of elevating yourself. Always use this method as a road map back to good health when things get crazy in life. So very proud of everyone! I'll see y'all tonight at 6:30pm Bear's Den. Bring your calendars and journals. We will plan our end of challenge celebration🎉.

Can organic farming really feed the world?

http://www.independent.co.uk/environment/organic-farming-can-feed-the-world-if-done-right-scientists-claim-9913651.html

What once was thought of as ideology, scientists are now researching and coming up with strong evidence organic farming could really change the world. It could even address major issues like climate change.

Professor John Reganold of Washington State University – goes on, “organic food and beverages” are now “a rapidly growing market segment in the global food industry”. Worldwide sales increased fivefold to US $72bn (£50bn) between 1999 and 2013, and are expected to double again by 2018. The practice is certified in 170 countries and the current US Agriculture Secretary, Tom Vilsack, describes it as “one of the fastest growing segments of American agriculture” driven by “growing consumer demand.”

"But it is climate change that may give organic farming the edge. As the new research underlines, “organically managed farms have frequently been shown to produce higher yields than their conventional counterparts” during droughts, because the manures they use retain moisture in the soil. And severely dry conditions “are expected to increase with climate change in many areas”."

More pancakes!

Another great healthy clean pancake recipe! Great for carb loading after an intense Saturday or Sunday morning WOD.

Factors that influence food choices and how much control do we really have?

Please take some time to read the above article I found on the CrossFit Kids site. This is great insight to what is going on in our economy and how it markets and targets cheap palatable foods. Read up on the research on how this negatively affects our health.
